Transportation Adventure and Customs
Mwanza has four type of transportation systems; Air, Road, Water and Railway.
By Air - Mwanza Airport
Mwanza airport is under development to make it an International Airport, although it is a small airport it handles larger planes of passenger and cargo. It has basic services such as foreign exchange, taxi services, atm, immigration services e.t.c.

By Road
Using public transport of the small buses also known as "daladala" to go around the city and places near by or go to Bus stands and get a bus for a jounery. Mwanza has 2 bus stands; Nyegezi for buses going to Shinyanga, Geita, Bukoba, Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Kampala Uganda almost all place around Tanzania and neighbouring countries and Buzuruga bus stand for buses going to Bariadi and Mara region.
By Water
Through Lake Victoria one can travel to Bukoba, Rubondo Islands, Ukerewe and Ukara Islands and so many other places including neighbouring countries. Also you can catch a ferry to the other side Sengerema and enjoy the view of lake Victoria island, hills and the city.
Railway Transport
This is one of the cheapest way of transport especially when you travelling long distance to another destination in Tanzania i.e. Dar es Salaam, but you must have a lot of time to spend because it takes more time than any other transportation system.
Mwanza Railway Station
It is a nice experience travelling with a train especially with friends, spouse or companion to travel with, you must get a first class is more comfortable than other classes.
